Neem Oil loosens nits

I have four girls - the oldest is 8 - all with lice. We used chemical pesticides first only to find live lice the next day. Tonight I applied neem oil to every ones head. The nits came out with very little effort and the few lice I did find in combing were already dead by the time I got to them. We are sleeping with the neem oil in our hair with a shower cap on. In the morning I will comb through their hair again to remove any other nits. I will let you know how it goes - but so far I am thrilled! It has given me hope again.
